Cooking Instructions

Servings: 8

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave for 1 minute or until melted. Stir in 2 teaspoons tamari and let cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, maple syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in the chocolate mixture.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust and top with the pecan halves. Place the pie pan on a baking sheet and bake for 45 – 55 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown. Let cool completely.

Whip the cream with the powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon tamari and 1 teaspoon vanilla until soft peaks form. Serve with the pie.
