Simmered Asian BBQ Beef

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak, fat removed and thinly sliced
- 1 cup San-J Asian BBQ Sauce
- 1 large ripe tomato, cut into eighths
- 8 cups steamed white rice
Instructions
Servings: 6
In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion, pepper and garlic and sauté until soft and the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the sirloin steak slices and cook until browned. Drain off any excess liquid. Add the San-J Asian BBQ Sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the tomato and simmer for 2 minutes. Serve over the steamed rice.
