What Makes a Sweet and Sour Sauce?

Sweet and sour sauce combines the sweetness of sugar or honey with a tart component like vinegar or pineapple. Most people think of sweet and sour sauce as only a condiment for Asian-inspired foods. However, mixing sweet and tart elements is also popular in many Western dishes.

Our San-J Sweet and Tangy Sauce delicately blends fruit juices, spices, honey, and just a touch of Tamari Soy Sauce for an exciting punch of flavor. You’ll love how the tangy and sweet taste pairs perfectly with your favorite shrimp, chicken, or pork recipes.
