Shrimp Tacos with Citrus Slaw

Ingredients

Citrus Slaw:

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage green or purple
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tablespoon San-J Citrus Tamari Splash
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • Kosher or fine sea salt to taste

Tacos:

  • 12 large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons San-J Citrus Tamari Splash
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 6 small corn tortillas gluten-free
  • Sliced avocado sour cream, and pickled jalapenos, for serving

Directions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix cabbage, carrots, San-J Citrus Tamari Splash, lime juice, avocado oil, and cilantro. Toss well. Add salt and pepper if needed.
  • In a bowl, toss shrimp with San-J Sweet Tamari Splash, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Let marinate for 5 minutes.
  • Heat avocado oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque.
  • Warm tortillas and assemble tacos by layering slaw and shrimp.
  • Serve with avocado, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos if desired.
