Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower
  • 1 cup gluten-free panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon kosher or fine sea salt
  • 1 large egg
  • olive oil
  • ½ cup San-J Hoisin Sauce or any San-J Asian Cooking Sauce plus more for serving if desired
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion finely chopped

Directions

  • Preheat air fryer to 370°F. Break the cauliflower in florets.
  • Combine panko, onion and garlic powders, cayenne, and salt in a shallow bowl or pie plate. In another shallow bowl, beat the egg. One by one, dip florets into the egg and then into the breadcrumb mixture. Place on a large plate or tray. Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Arrange the cauliflower in the basket of the air fryer in a single layer leaving a little space between each. Do not over-crowd, work in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 10 – 12 minutes or until crisp.
  • Toss with San-J Hoisin or other San-J Asian Cooking Sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve with extra hoisin sauce for dipping if desired.
